Decimals Presentation Week 10

I you have looked at my week 10 Think board then you already know what the presentation is about. If not then this presentation is simply filled with decimals questions. The presentation was mostly fulled with questions to round the decimal. Hope you enjoy.

Thinkboard Week 10

This week we have come over decimals. We were given the simple decimal question of what is 23.345+3.954? Miss Clark told us to use the strategy called Partitioning. If you don't know what is Partitioning then it is very simple. I you know your place value in decimals then just add the Units with the Units, Tens with the Tens, Tenths with the Tenths, Hundredths with the Hundredths and so on, you get what I mean. Word Problems Week 8

For week 8 things got more tricky. We had to figure out the volume, area, perimeter, surface area of a shape. It was definitely hard to remember all the strategy's. That's why I had to keep on asking Miss Clark for help. Hope you enjoy and please leave a comment.

Thinkboard Week 9

This week the think board got our attention that we are learning to find the area and the perimeter of a shape. We had to find the area and the perimeter of a triangle with the sides 15 cm and the base 25 cm, to find the perimeter we have to add everything(15+15+25=55) witch equaled to 55 cm. To find the area we first half the bottom of the triangle witch is 12.5, then we times it by how long the sides are. 12.5x15=187.5. Hope you enjoy and please leave a comment.

Fair Chocolate

This week our reading task was to read a text called Fair Chocolate. The story was about a factory in New Zealand trying to make Chocolate fairly. Our task was to do a graphic organiser, a graphic organiser is a something you think of during, before or after you read the text, our teacher gave us the questions witch were:I wonder....    I am not sure why....   I am curious....  Why didn't...  How does..., we also had to write a summary about the text so here it is. Fuzzy Wuzzy Angels

Our task this week for reading was to read a poem about a person in WW2 with Fuzzy Wuzzy Hair and we had too label poem things on the poem like are there any Stanza's or Lamb's. Our WALT was:Identify and understand the language features used in poetry. Hope you enjoy and please leave a comment. 

Thinkboard Week 7

I am again back with more Think boards, this time it got tricky. We had to figure out what 12.5-:-0.5 is. Something I learnt is that 12.5 is over 0.5 times 10 and even 20 so it must have been between 20 and 30. I soon figured out the answer witch was 25. Hope you enjoy and please leave a comment.
