Camp 2014 Kayak

It was a magnificent day and just the perfect day for camp. The Tents were put up and we were ready to rumble. As the day finished I thought of my favorite activity of the day,Kayaking. I was taught a lot from single Kayak to Double kayak.


To control a kayak for doubles the person in the front is the speed controller and the back person is the direction person. If both want to go straight the direction controller copy's the speed controller. Oh and to turn you have paddle on your right to go to your left or paddle on your left to go right. That is all I will write another post about camp on Monday.

  


  

Mosquito and Sandfly

This is a tale about a mosquito and a sandfly. This is a tale about a mosquito and a sandfly.Sandfly said lets fight someone,mosquito said ok. sandfly was in such a rush.sandfly went with his friends and mosquito waited all day because he was going in the night sandfly came back and the others were gone.Mosquito went at night and he won the battle.

Papa and Rangi

Rangi and papa use to be together untill Rangi's son's dicided to bush them apart except Tawhiri-matea.One by one they tried to push Rangi but they could not do it,Rangi was holding on to papa.Finally the god of the forest the strongest god came up and push him all the way up.The son was shining on papa but she just needed clothes.So the god of the forest planted some trees on her.Rangi looked bueatiful at day time but not in the night so the god of the winds that is Tawhiri-matea dicided to put the sun on his back and the moon facing him,he even put stars around himoh he got the stars from the god of light.If you want to know all of the gods,try and figure them out by looking at the pictures and send me a comment.Here are ome clues.Light.war,sea,forest, and thats all.

Triathlon

This is about our triathlon,hope you leave a comment. On Wednesday 3rd April, 2013,room 13 walked down onto the field for a triathlon lesson. They had set up a water slide for us. We did this because we wanted to see what a triathlon is. I was so excited to have the triathlon, the only thing was that we only have it once a year. I wished it could be every week. We sat on the field and listened to the instructors tell us what we had to do. The girls went first then the boys, Oh I forgot Room 14 was there too. I was sliding on my belly on the water slide. After four laps we went in to the transition area. Transition is where you change and go on a bicycle around the field. We only did one lap,while we were riding there were flags and cones showing us the way . Then we had to park our bikes and run for one lap. I came third. I had a fun day and was happy and cold. I wonder if next year they do not bring a water slide but they might even bring some kind of kind swimming pool instead.

Eel of omaru creek

This is my Narative,hope you enjoy. Once upon a time there was a beautiful river called Omaru creek. An eel named Aaron was attending school. Suddenly nasty people came and threw oil,rubbish bags and chemicals in the river. Then the alarm bell rang,the alarm bell means that people have been throwing chemicals in the water that can kill them. Everybody swam for their lives but Aaron could not escape he was stuck in his desk. As it nearly hit him he got out and swim as fast as he could. The school was gone and never could be rebuilt because that was the last wood from the water. Aaron decided to discuss this with the government. So he went to the kingdom of fresh water.He said to the government,”Oh mighty kind government there have been humans polluting our land we offer you to send the great fish soldiers to our land.The government said,”that is so sad.Ok then,tomorrow I will send the fish soliders”.The next morning.’’Now here is the plan’’,said the captain.”We will go to the bridge and cut it in half when they come”.So they came and cutted it in half and the kingdom lived happily ever after.

My fun Easter break

This is about my Easter break,hope you enjoy. On easter Monday I went to the Easter carnival at downtown. It was awesome,super loop was so scary when I went on it ,even Turbo boost. I had such a fun day with my family at the carnival. One ride that I could not remember what the name was, I went on it, it was little bit scary, it made me dizzy and I nearly fell off. When my brother said,”I want to go on to the turbo boost”. I was so surprised. People that went on it were screaming hard out. They were spinning round and round. The Turbo boost is a very big ride that you go high up in the sky in and screaming when you're coming down. Then it was time to go home. I felt dizzy, my little brother felt like he wanted to vomit. I wish my mum was there. Next year there needs to be a little bit improvement and the park needs to be cheaper.

A white Tailed spider

A white tailed spider fangs have poison in it.They live under bark,plants,houses,shoes and clothes.If you get bitten by it,it will only be painful,also they leave a red mark.They don't spin a web to catch its food,it uses other spiders web to catch other spiders.There special tufts of the spider help it to attack its enemies.

Camp Reflection

This is my reflection about camp. Have you ever gone camp at school before?The year 5 and 6 were having camp and I was so excited. It was on the field next to the staff room,it was only up to wednesday to friday.We had camp because when we finish we write a story about it.Our group was called cooperators,our team leaders were Rebecca and Korobeau. The first activity we did was not really a activity, we were practicing for the camp concert.Our performance was pretty good.The camp concert was where you have to perform a dance.Our song was Michael Jackson - Beat it. Second activity was rollerblades,table tennis and basketball. Rollerblades was the funnest activity on Wednesday.Third activity was Top town.It looked fun but I could not do it. You had to raise your flag up to win. On Thursday, our first activity was kayaking.Man it looked so fun. I just wanted to go in a kayak and paddle as fast as I could but I had to sit and watch.It was not fun just siting and watching,I hated watching.Second activity was get lost it is just like amazing race on tv. We were coming first but then a group of girls tricked us and we came last. One girl said the P word and that was Sarah I think that was her name.Third activity was catching eels.The girls were cooking with Mrs Clarke.We were plaiting and then once we were finished Whaea Raewyn tied meat to it.We went down to the bridge and the results was we did not get any eels to find. On Friday everybody was going to Mangere pools. Me and some other people stayed. I went to room 21 and kishan too.At 3.00 clock they came back and they had heaps of fun. I felt sad because I did not get to swim or get wet.Next year I might pay or not and there needs to be more improvements? Like Rock climbing and exploring places.I just hope my dad pays and I get to go.

School Picnic

Hi, This story is about our school picnic the 1st march 2013. We walked down the hallway to the hall. Pt England school was going on a picnic.Every year the school goes on a picnic down at the Pt England Reserve because its a school hang out.It was on Friday 1st March 2013. I loved playing soccer with my friends. My friends are,Sohel,Brooklyn and Zac.I always blocked them from getting a goal.Sometimes I get 1 or 2 goals.When I keep on blocking them everybody goes away so I went somewhere else but then they come back.We were playing soccer next to the park. The most favourite part at the school picnic was playing with clay.We have to get white rocks.Then put it in the water bring it back up and squeeze it then go to the place where there is a huge rock.Don’t forget to get a sharp shell to take all the sand of and put on the clay that you made. It was two o’clock so we had to go back to the school.I wonder how next year's school picnic would be.Maybe there might be a bouncy castle who knows what there is going to be.

Swimming Refletion

This is about my swimming reflection. Have you ever been taught by an instructor? Room 13 walked down to Glen Innes pools.We were having swimming lessons because New Zealand is surrounded with water. Every day we go swimming for 30 minutes/half an hour. I was in group 2. My instructor is Laura. I’ve learned rocket arms,back strok,breathing position and freestyle. Rocket arms is very hard,you put your arms behind your ears and your arms are up your hands are tied together, I don’t know if I done it well. Rocket Arms is what I need to practice of all of the other things. I’ve once done it right but it is still hard,but I will never give up and I will keep on trying.You know what is rocket arms and how to do it right.
