Thinkboard Week 3

Week 2 Thinkboard

Week 3 Think Board

This week the think board got complicated. We had to learn how to subtract decimals buy using the strategy splitting. We learned that to not split the first number but the second and leave the first decimal as it is. Hope you enjoy and please leave a comment.

For maths today we had a think board today. This week we are focusing on decimals. It took me about 40 minutes to complete this. I got the idea for my word story problem that I should change the decimals into kg. Hope you enjoy and please leave a comment.

Thinkboard Week 10

This week we have come over decimals. We were given the simple decimal question of what is 23.345+3.954? Miss Clark told us to use the strategy called Partitioning. If you don't know what is Partitioning then it is very simple. I you know your place value in decimals then just add the Units with the Units, Tens with the Tens, Tenths with the Tenths, Hundredths with the Hundredths and so on, you get what I mean. Thinkboard Week 9

This week the think board got our attention that we are learning to find the area and the perimeter of a shape. We had to find the area and the perimeter of a triangle with the sides 15 cm and the base 25 cm, to find the perimeter we have to add everything(15+15+25=55) witch equaled to 55 cm. To find the area we first half the bottom of the triangle witch is 12.5, then we times it by how long the sides are. 12.5x15=187.5. Hope you enjoy and please leave a comment.

I am again back with more Think boards, this time it got tricky. We had to figure out what 12.5-:-0.5 is. Something I learnt is that 12.5 is over 0.5 times 10 and even 20 so it must have been between 20 and 30. I soon figured out the answer witch was 25. Hope you enjoy and please leave a comment.
