Need and a Want

Need and a Want

How we spend money all depends on what we think we need and want. This text will explain what is a need and what is a want and how they are useful and will we use it.

Wants are things that you desire but don’t necessarily need. Something you want is not useful like an Xbox one which is extremely expensive. Usually you stop using what you bought that you wanted, in other words you can ask yourself are you going to use it. A want is something you're dying to get. What a want can be is things like TV’s, stereo’s, games, game consoles, DVD’s, laptops, junk food, lollies and much more.

A need are things you need to survive or to keep you sustained. It can help you from things like rain falling over your head, starving of hunger, you need to stop polluting the air which contains oxygen which we breath in. Things we need are like food, nutrition, vitamins, oxygen, roof, house, water and much more. A need is a necessity and can help you to survive and live a good healthy life.  

Now if we ask us the question why is one more important than the other, it would be a need. A need is more important than a want because a need keeps you healthy and strong and it will give alive, when for a want it does not help you to stay alive, screens can damage your eyes and you won’t live a long life. That is why we should buy things we need.

I hope everybody will buy more needs than wants in the future. Also I hope I do the same to which I will. Trying is a good way to start and no matter what keep trying.

Inferenicing Week 2

This week for reading, we had to complete a presentation with inference questions. The presentation was pretty hard. Especially slide number 6 where you had to match evidence with inference. Hope you enjoy and please leave a comment.

Triangle Addition Week 2

Thinkboard

For maths today we had a think board today. This week we are focusing on decimals. It took me about 40 minutes to complete this. I got the idea for my word story problem that I should change the decimals into kg. Hope you enjoy and please leave a comment.

Immersion Assembly Term 3

Yesterday was a blast, it was the first day of Term 3 on the 20th of July meaning that there will be an Immersion assembly. Immersion assembly's are when the Teacher's dress up and act or make a movie about the topic of the term to get us excited and into the topic.

My Favorite item was from Team 4, year 5/6. While one teacher was telling a story the other teachers were the characters. "Ounce upon a time there lived a boy named bob with his dog, he was saving up for some games when he found $50 on the ground, his emotions came to help" says Mrs Jacobson as the narrator. 

Extra Happy came along, Calm came along and Sassy came along(these are all teachers). "Wow you found $50 now you can buy the video games" says Extra Happy. Calm replies "oh maybe someone left it on the ground, that could be bad". Sassy said in girls voice " nah man it's fifty dollars who would want to leave fifty dollars man" the students burst out laughing. So what Team 4 is doing is to learn to save money and what to use money for.

My least favourite item was from Team 1, year 1. There one was about selling things at the market, I think what the teachers are trying to say is that they are going to use fake money for selling things in their class. They put on a movie about going to the markets.

I hope this term will be really fun oh and I forgot to tell you that my team is learning about how to be financially responsible. This Term will have some new things coming up. Hope you enjoyed and please leave a comment.

Decimal Addition Triangle

Persuasive Writing Cell Phone's Should be Banned from School

Cellphone’s should be Banned at School

The day cellphones were created, it changed life. It made it easier to call people wherever you are. College students needed cellphones the most as for they might need to phone their parents if something is happening, but in a primary school. Cell phones should be banned.

Let us see what a child has to do with a Cell phone. They only need it if they specifically get instructions of what to do after school from their parents or of any emergences, but taking selfies and playing games can waste a child’s learning time at school. Plus there have been too many incidents in schools of phones being stolen or missing.

If binging a phone to school, you should hand it over to the teacher who lock’s it in her or his cupboard so it is sound and safe where nobody can get it. Or let your teacher know that you have a phone and you are keeping it in your bag so you know that someone stole it.

This is my evidence and my prove of why cell phones should be banned at school.
