As we Walked to Glen Innes Aquatic centre on Monday I was wondering what we might learn, our maths group exit the school grounds after morning tea. I usually get put in group 2 and never enter group 3 but I don’t mind it is much more fun in group 2.
Two by two got into the pools and the instructors tested our skills to see what level we are in or group. Guess which group I got in yeap number 2, here is a list of what they tested us. Hands at the top of a board and kicking, hands at the bottom heads on our chest and kicking, arm circles, freestyle.
The next day we did something different. Lora group two’s instructor said “today we are going to see you do freestyle two at a time and you can do 10 laps if you want to.” The freestyle started also to make it fair, if you are tired you can turn over and do backstroke if you want to. Me and Taimana did 8 laps.
The day after Tuesday We did the same thing on Monday but no freestyle we added backstroke and rocket arms. My badest swimming technique was rocket arms, you had to keep your chin on your chest otherwise you will sink like a rock. Everything else was perfection.
It was wednesday and we forgot about backstroke and added breathing position. The 3 main steps to do with this is Brain,Goggle and Cheek, so your brain must be touching the water also check and goggles should be out of the water oh and one hand in the middle of your board. Shoulder facing to the ceiling too.
Swimming was awesome in fact I loved it. The reason why we learn to swim is because New Zealand is surrounded by water so if kids get lost in the sea they won’t drown they will just float because they will know how to swim.
