What is a food chain

A food chain always starts with a producer.Did you know producers make it’s own food?For example a plant or a Plankton is a producer.Now my friends let me tell you what a consumer is?A consumer is something that eats producers for example a consumer is a bee,cow or krills.A decomposer is something that feeds on meet like a killer whale is a decomposer and so is a leopard seal.

And now the moment that you have all been waiting for ,we will give you a example of a food chain.Now the krill eats the algae then the fish eats the krill and finally the penguin eats the fish ,hope you understand.

My weekend

What did you do for your weekend? For my weekend I just stayed home,on saturday me and my brother Mosa were doing a experiment. Our experiment was making a boat out of an Anchor bottle and see if it sinks or tips. We found out that if you put something heavy inside it will tip but if you don’t it will float.When it stop raining me and my brother Adam were playing tennis,we had fun.   

Now on sunday I did not knew what to do,I was super bored. I decided to plan how to make a Go kart. I did not really made the Go kart on sunday because it was wet so I just planned how to make a Go kart. After that I hid my plan in my bag then we ate dinner. For dinner we had fish and chips and breed that is mixed with soup in a bowl. I love my mum’s cooking.At night I went to sleep.zzzzzzzz

Antartica

Antarctica is the most coldest,driest and windiest place on earth.It is 2 times as big then Australia,Antarctica is located in the sodern.No native pepole live there but researchers and scientist live there.

They don’t  just check how cold is the water,they see new species when they go underwater and see the temperature.Even they go deep down and see if it is warm or cold.

There are some creatures that live there like seals,whales,birds and of course penguins.98% of the water is covered in ice.

Whales

There are many sorts of whale species,they are mammals. They travel in pods. People say that the blue whale is bigger than the biggest dinosaur that lived long,long,long time ago.

A female whale is called a bull,the male whale is called a cow and the baby whale is called a cuff. Nowadays whales are now the biggest creature’s on earth. Some whales have teeth others don’t.

Our very special visitor

There was a buzz of excitement, once Mr Burt told us who our special visitor was today.It was Will.i.am from Hallenstein brothers.When he arived the hall was filled with excitment oh and the hole school was in the hall. We welcomed Will.i.am with a big shout. First we had two performances on to show him.Ponamu was first, second senior hip hop.After that Will.i.am came up talked about his life and what his dream was.His dream was about taking care of his mother,he told us that his friends keeped him on the right path and to choose your friends.He even said that he did not get to see his father and his mother did’t had a job.At the end of his speach he gave us $100,000.00.It wasin’t just for us it was for all of the Manaiakalani schools. Tearm 2 Immersion Assembly

It was Monday 6th may 2013,I was excited because it was the first day of team 2. I could not wait to see what our topic is.Once I arrived our topic was Pt England school investigates. When the second bell rang I raced and lined up ready to go to the hall for immersion assembly with room 13.First up was team 1,they were showing us that they were going to investigating measuring stuff.Second was team 2,they were funny and they were investigating science.Third was team 3,they were showing us how to make a balloon scream,that means they were investigating how to make all sorts of stuff.Fourth was team 4 thats us,we were investigating Antartica.Last was team 5,they were having a program going on that was called My Healthy Rules,that means they were invetigating food.My Favourite item was team 5.I wonder whats the topc next tearm.

Rugby league

On Tuesday the 7th 2013 may room 13 walked down to the court because we were playing rugby league.I was excited, We sat down in the shade,the coach’s name was James. He said that we were going to compete against other schools.That’s why we were there.Our first warm up was benji says,it’s just like simon says. So first we started with an activity.Some of us had some blue bands on but some did not,the game was about to make ten passes.It was hard,James said that we neded to practice on our passing so we played another game.We went in groups of 5 or 6 and made a circle then started passing to each other.Then we played a game that you have to pass back to each other.We went well with that,the third activity was to score a try.In this two people come up and from the other team only one,the two pepole have to score a try by passing back to each other.So the team with the one person coming up is defending. At the end it was time to go back to class.For rugby league I think our skills are ok. I enjoyed playing and can’t wait to compete against the other schools.

Flesh eating plant

Hello there,I'm Aaron.Today I am going to tell you about this amazing Dangerous plant.This one over here is one of them,its called flesh eating plant.So a bug comes along that is hungry,he goes inside the plant,he sucks the nectar suddenly the plant closes,it takes 10 days for it to finish its pray.This plant can even eat a hand.

This morning Room 13 have been learning hw to take core samples.We took samples from a cupcake and guessed what the core inside looked like.

My Holidays

For the holidays I went to Mission Bay at night with my family. We were there because there was an ice skating program going on. It was so bueatiful with the lights.It was freezing cold because of the ice. So we paid and got the ice skating shoes,we put them on and we went in.At that time I was trying to learn how to skate.I slipped 2 times and got hurt then I was starting to get the hang of it.My brother was going so fast. At the end it was time to go home.I had such a wonderful day.I wished that I could stay for a little bit longer.I enjoyed skating. The End
