Once upon a time there lived a maori called Maui. His brothers didn’t like him and never wanted him to go fishing with them. One day Maui’s brothers were going fishing but Maui was not allowed to go with them. Maui was hiding in the bottom of the canoe with his magic fishing hook. He waited until they went far enough and when they were Maui emerged. By that time the brothers got lot’s of fish and the brothers was saying to Maui that to return but Maui wanted to desire his luck. Since the brothers weren’t giving him bait used his own blood then thrown it into the water. Suddenly Maui caught a stingray once it was up. It was known as the north island of New Zealand.
Great job retelling the legend of Maui and the Fish, Aaron!
