Acrostic Poem

My reading group was told t create a Acrostic Poem of a place called Highgate. This is what we have to do.

Create an acrostic poem for the words HIGHGATE (using one key word for each letter).

- For each word write a small sentence why you chose this word, e.g. H - Holidays: with Nana and Poppa every holiday.

Acrostic Poem Highgate

Highgate

  • H- Holidays: The children could go to Nana and Poppa every holiday.
  • I- into: into the water and came out with dozens of tadpoles.
  • G- gate: gate is in highgate.
  • H- hidden: the frog was hiding
  • G- grass- the frogs were hard to see because of the grass
  • A- adults: Nana and Poppa
  • T- Tadpoles: there were dozens of tadpoles
  • E- Eating: time for dinner

  1. Awesome poem about your holidays Aaron. Sounds like you had some fun hunting tadpoles and frogs.
