The Arrival Tomorrow of the Malama Honua on the Shore of Point England
Why is the arrival of the Hokulea on the shores of Point England so Significant? Well, it says that the hook of heaven is a marvellous symbol of hope and direction.
Tomorrow on the 24 of March 2015, they are arriving on the shores of Pt England with a symbol of hope and direction. What I expect to hear and see is the crew of the both Wakas greeting us and probably say something to us in Hawaii or Maori. I expect to hear the sound of applause as well as the wakas coming into the shore of Point England.
I can't wait till tomorrow. Please leave a comment. Click on the image.

Polyfest 40th Birhtday
Tired, I got up to the alarm at 6 o'clock in the morning on 19th of March 2015, in the inside of me, I was exited to be going to the Polly fest but on the outside of me, I did not show any emotions. My dad packed me a full lunchbox and a breakfast, toast mixed with egg yummy. The ASB Poly fest is located in Manakau, I have no idea about what the Poly fest has but I do watch a few videos of it on YouTube. Our Teachers thought that we are a good bunch of year 7 and 8's, so why not go to the Poly fest as a treat.
Arriving outside the entrance, we patiently waited for room 3 to meet us. Thirty minutes past and no sign there was of Room 3. Out of frustration finally, we got to enter the entrance. Turned out the driver dropped us at the wrong entrance though room 3 were dropped at the right entrance. To my relief, we were still allowed to enter. We allowed schools enter before us, when we arrived first.
Meeting the other schools, we all sat down, listening to a lady to entertain us. Her last part speaking was someone famous we were going to meet. So many people guessed but finally John Key was revealed to be the famous person. A speech was said by him and we were dismissed to school programs. He walked of inside something like a bouncy castle from ASB, reportes as well as camera people followed.
Unexpectedly, we were taken to school programs and man were they a blast. There was a fire demonstration(demonstrating what to do when a fire breaks out), Flava radio (taking photos of groups of 5, and playing games), ASB polyfest Bouncy Castle(the one John Key entered, writing your favourite parts of the polyfest so far) and GLOBUG(teaching how to save electricity).
I was sad to leave the Polyfest. It was really over the wow factor. Overall the polyfest, my favourite part was the Maori performances. I look forward to the next upcoming polyfest, celebrating it’s next 41st birthday, CHO-HOO.
Underground Soilders
In literacy, we were given a book about the Anzac war. The text was explaining about a underground tunnel for the soldier made by the miners. It showed a drawing of what the Allied did to the Germans. First between the two armies was a land called no man's land. Anyone standing on will be killed from any of the armies trenches. Both armies started creating tunnels. The Allied armie's job was to bomb their path across. Our task was to make the same picture in the book using Google drawing. Please leave a comment.

We played so much, er even saw a fire demonstration. Wow what a day, I am sure glad to come to the polyfest. We even got a goodie bag from ASB. We saw two performances, both from Maori. I sure hope next year we can go to the polyfest.

Eid-Al-FItr
Eid Al-Fitr
Eid Al-Fitr, is the day of celebrating the end of ramadan. Ramadan is a month of learning about how to control yourself and doing good deeds, so all the muslims fast a whole month, by doing this we recognise how the poor feel. After sunset, we are allowed to eat and sit down together as a family. This year, it is compulsory for me to fast the whole month.
On the first day of Eid, my parents wake me up early accompanied by a bath. We then travel to our local mosque, Pakuranga Masjid. We do our prayers and We congratulate people by saying “Eid Mubarak”. Arriving home, I congratulated my relatives as well. In Auckland, we heard that Every Eid there is a festival in the upcoming locations, Eden Park and ASB Showgrounds.
Auckland Eid festival in 2014, located in Eden park was crowded with Stalls, people, entertainment and even christians. Hey just because their religion is different, doesn't mean they can’t celebrate it. Eid GO KARTS was my favourite place. On the way back to leave, I saw a donation of the Syrian War, a dollar was in my pocket so I decided to at least offered some money.
Eid is my favorite part of the year. The day is filled with Joy and happiness. I look for to this years eid and the festival which will be located at ASB Showground this time.
